Biology vs. Synthetic: Engineering Blueprints
a large, single engineering blueprint sheet split vertically. the left half is a precise anatomical dissection of [--biological_joint], rendered as a translucent wet specimen with realistically coloured muscle bellies, tendon sheaths, pulleys, and bone insertion points. the right half is a detailed cad exploded view of a [--synthetic_equivalent] that mimics the exact mechanical function using engineered materials (dyneema tendons, servo pulleys, strain gauges). thin, glowing matching lines connect the biological origin to the synthetic copy: tendon path to cable routing, annular pulley to low-friction eyelet, spindle-shaped muscle to pneumatic mckibben actuator. both halves share the same scale and orientation. dotted lines annotate moment arms, mechanical advantage, and strain energy storage. the blueprint has a classic cyan-blue background with white border and title block. lighting: evenly illuminated blueprint table, no shadows on the paper, but the 3d parts cast subtle drop shadows onto the 2d surface as if resting on it.
