Twitch Panel Size
Twitch panels are the image blocks in the About section below the stream. The width is fixed at 320 px; the height is flexible, with 160 px the common convention. Twitch does not crop panels — it scales any image to 320 px wide and lets the height follow. That makes panels one of the few Twitch assets where you control the full frame.

Design Tips
- →Always export at exactly 320 px wide. Twitch scales anything else to fit, and an odd source width produces soft, half-pixel edges on text.
- →Keep a consistent height across a panel set — 160 px is the convention. Mismatched heights make the About column look ragged.
- →Panel text is small and static. Use short labels (Donate, Schedule, Discord, Rules) and put the detail in the panel's text description field beneath the image, which is selectable and searchable.
- →Panels are clickable links. Design them to look like buttons rather than banners, or viewers will not realise they can be clicked.
How to Make Twitch Panels in Playyy
Panels are one of the few Twitch assets with no crop and no overlay. The width is fixed at 320 px — everything else is yours.
- 1
Open Playyy
Playyy runs in your browser, so there's nothing to download. Sign in and you'll land on the Home page.
- 2
Type your prompt and set the size to 320 × 160 px
Panels are clickable links, but nothing on Twitch signals that — so ask for a clear button or card look with one short label: Donate, Schedule, Discord, Rules. Set 320 × 160 px in the size options, or just say "a Twitch panel at 320 × 160 px" in the prompt. The 320 px width is fixed by Twitch; 160 px is just the common height.
- 3
Create your panels and export them at 320 px wide
Make the whole set at the same height — Twitch never crops panels, so mismatched heights are what leave an About section looking ragged. Export each one at 320 px wide and under 2.9 MB, and save the longer explanation for the text field below the image, where it stays selectable and searchable.

What is the Twitch panel size?+
320 pixels wide with a recommended height of 160 px, giving a 2:1 ratio. The width is fixed by Twitch; the height is flexible. Maximum file size is 2.9 MB in JPG, PNG, or GIF.
Can Twitch panels be taller than 160 px?+
Yes. Twitch scales panels to 320 px wide and does not crop the height, so taller panels display in full. 160 px is a convention rather than a limit, but keeping every panel the same height makes the About section look deliberate.
How many panels can a Twitch channel have?+
There is no hard limit, but most channels use four to eight. Beyond that visitors stop scrolling. Each panel is 320 px wide with a flexible height, and each links somewhere — so more panels means more competing calls to action.
Can Twitch panels be animated?+
Twitch accepts GIF panels under 2.9 MB, and they do animate. Use it sparingly — several animated panels in one About section is visually noisy and slows the page on mobile connections.
What should Twitch panels contain?+
The standard set is About, Schedule, Donate or Tip, Social links, Rules, and Gear. Keep the image to a short label and put the actual detail in the text field below it, where it stays selectable, searchable, and readable by screen readers.
